GRFD started with two hand pulled hose carts in 1898. Today the GRFD is an ISO Class 2 rated Fire and Rescue Dept. commanded by Chief Bob Lloyd.
Sealed bids will be received by the Village of Grand River for 14 complete sets of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (“SBCA”) with dual air tanks at Grand River Village Hall, 205 Singer Ave., Grand River, Ohio 44045 up to 4:00 p.m. on November 6, 2017, and read publicly thereafter at the above address. The specifications for the SBCAs are on file with the Village Fire Chief and may be viewed and obtained at the Fire Chief’s Office at 205 Singer Ave., Grand River, Ohio 44045 or online below. Basis of award will be the lowest and/or best bid submitted. Proposals shall be addressed to the Village of Grand River, 205 Singer Ave., Grand River, Ohio 44045, and marked: “BID FOR SBCAs.”
The Village of Grand River reserves the right to hold bids for a period not longer than sixty days (60) days after the date of the bid opening, and/or to award the contract at any time during this period.
The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract within ten (10) calendar days after the award of work if required by Village Council. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase or decrease or omit any item, and/or to award to the lowest and best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be signed by an officer of the company or their legally authorized designee.

homes. The lockbox is keyed only for GRFD and PTFD. The cost is $30. Also any business owner that would like a Knox Box we are now part of that program. If anyone is interested in these programs
