Village Zoning Inspector

Zoning inspectors, also known as zoning officers, play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and orderly development of our community. Acting on behalf of the village planning and zoning, he is responsible for interpreting and enforcing property zoning regulations and requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Regulation Compliance:


  • Ensure that all new developments and ongoing land use conform to applicable zoning laws and land use regulations.
  • Oversee adherence to regulations concerning drainage, storm water management, and special flood hazard areas.
  • Enforce nuisance abatement measures to maintain community standards.


2. Property Maintenance:


  • Our zoning inspector also functions as the property maintenance officer, tasked with upholding the village's property maintenance code.
  • Monitor and ensure that both residents and businesses comply with local property maintenance standards.
